Public Folder Sharing

License add-on

Public folder sharing requires a paid license upgrade, which can also be added to an existing license.

What is Folder Sharing?

Administrators can share specific selected folders publicly.

Anonymous users who do not have a DocSecBox account can then either view or additionally download the files in the folder.

For this purpose, a link or a QR code is provided for the folder, which the user can simply scan or enter.

Enhanced Security with PIN

Optionally, a PIN can be set, which the user must enter in addition.

Time Limitation

The sharing can also optionally be limited to a specific time. After this time expires, the sharing will no longer be available.

Subsequent Changes

The sharing can be edited or removed at any time, even if the sharing has already been created and is in use.

Security Notice

It should be considered that sharing folders with sensitive data requires caution. Additionally, since access is anonymous, precise file access cannot be logged. Only the number of accesses per file is counted.

View

Viewing is only possible with PDF files. For other file types, downloading may also need to be allowed.
